What form do I need to complete?

Adults who are renewing their Australian passport overseas can use the Australian Passport Renewal Application Form (PC7) if you are an Australian citizen, aged 18 years or over, your most recent passport is not damaged nor lost/stolen and:

 

EITHER - Can present an adult Australian passport that:

* was valid for at least two years when issued, and
* was issued in your current name, date of birth and sex, and
* is current or expired less than three (3) years ago.

 

OR - Can present a child Australian passport that:

* was issued when you were 16 years or over, and
* was valid for at least two years when issued, and
* was issued in your current name, date of birth and sex, and
* is current or expired less than three (3) years ago.



All other applicants must use the Overseas Passport Application Form (PC8). This includes the following applicants:


• You are applying for a child’s (under the age of 18) passport,


• You are applying for your first adult passport (even if you hold a child\'s passport). However, if your child passport is current or expired less than three (3) years ago and was issued when you were 16 years of age or over, please verify if you qualify for a PC7 form (see instructions above),


• You are applying for a first ever Australian passport,


• You are replacing a lost, stolen or damaged passport,


• You are applying to change your name or amend some personal details, such as, your date of birth,


• You are applying for your first passport after resumption of citizenship


• You are applying to replace a limited validity passport, emergency passport, or other temporary travel document.
